Otile Brown, the Kenyan RnB singer also known as Jacob Obunga, has shared the heartbreaking news of losing his unborn child. Taking to his Instagram status, Otile expressed that his little one did not survive.
Previously, the popular artist had excitedly announced the impending arrival of his first child, but in a recent update, he conveyed that this year no longer held the same joy for him. He wrote, "Our baby didn't make it... I guess it's no longer my favorite year. It's all good... God, you know I never ask or question You. All I do is smile and stay positive."
During the previous weekend, the 30-year-old musician had revealed his excitement about becoming a parent and pledged to shower his child with love. However, he did not disclose the identity of the co-parent or reveal the gender of the baby, leading to speculation and gossip about the "mystery" woman carrying his child.
Otile Brown has been keeping his romantic relationships private ever since he announced his breakup with Ethiopian beauty Nabbayet, also known as Nabbi, last year. In January 2022, Otile publicly confirmed their split, citing challenges posed by their respective careers and the geographical distance that strained their relationship.
However, in January 2023, Otile and Nabbayet were seen together again, sparking rumors of a reconciliation. After the news of Otile's impending fatherhood circulated, some fans speculated that Nabbayet might be the one carrying his child and flooded her social media posts with congratulatory messages.
In response to the speculation, Nabbayet clarified that she was unaware of any pregnancy but expressed appreciation for the well-meaning messages. She humorously wrote, "Lol, I didn't know, but thank you," accompanied by a laughing emoji.
